Childern of Kandake Amanishakheto are a series of artworks created by the seventeen year old artist Nyagak Yang. They portray the innocence of young african childern and the stories that it never made it into the history books. Kandake is mothers of the ancient African Kingdom of Kush, also known as Nubia and Ethiopia, Sudan and surronding countries.

These drawings were inspired by many events that have occurred over the life span of nyagak's life. Nyagak was born in Kakuma. Kakuma is a town in northwestern Turkana County, Kenya. It is the site of a UNHCR refugee camp, was established in 1991. She started drawing at a young age and continued into adolescent. At a young a age Nyagak vowed to be a voice for the voiceless, for the children of the Kingdom of Kush. Through these various drawings nyagak aims to connect with the readers to tell a story whether it be sad or happy. Nyagak uses art to express emotions, educate people and ofc share her amazing talent with the world.
