This is my original, matted and framed Pastel Wildlife Portrait, "Dot the Eastern Quoll". Dot was awarded 1st Prize in Animal Portraiture at the Queanbeyan Art Society's “Drawings, Portraits and Miniatures” Exhibition in 2017.

Eastern Quolls have recently been reintroduced to my hometown, Canberra and only exists in the wild in Tasmania and Bruni Island. They are small nocturnal marsupials and are listed as "Near Threatened". They were once hunted for their fur but are now under threat from introduced carnivores, disease and habitat clearance.

I will donate 10% of the profit from this artwork to the Mulligan's Flat Woodland Sanctuary to help them provide a safe haven for reintroduced Quolls and other native animals in the ACT: https://mulligansflat.org.au/quoll-fact-sheet/

Dot was created with Pan Pastels and Pastel pencils on Canson Mi-Teintes Tex paper. It comes matted, framed and ready-to-hang with D-hooks and picture wire attached.

The image size in the mat is 38cm (w) x 26cm (h). The external dimensions of the mat are 51cm (w) x 41cm (h). The frame is 53.5cm (w) x 43.5cm (h).

The frame is light grey stained natural timber and the mat is white.

This is a pastel wildlife portrait of a red-tailed phascogale. It is a small, grey, mouse-like creature with pink ears, nose, and feet. It's tail is a darker shade of red-pink at its base, and has feathery, black fur along the last 2 thirds of its length. It's depicted hugging a tree branch at night."Sylvester" is a pastel wildlife portrait of a Kowari, who is shown full-length eating an insect against the backdrop of a red stony desert. This is a pastel still life of a beautiful aqua-blue pump motor and its electrical outlets."Beatrix" is a pastel wildlife portrait of an endangered Gilbert's Potoroo, shown in its habitat with red native truffles (its favourite food). These nocturnal marsupials were thought to be extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994, at Two Peop
