I enjoyed the songs by aboriginal band Yothu Yindi, in their music video clips, the aboriginals looked so happy dancing and singing. So when the lead singer Mandawauy Yunupingu died I did this painting as I imagined his spirit would still be playing the didgeridoo, while the brolga birds enjoy dancing with their long hopping steps .

Textured Acrylic of rocks in bright colorsTextured acrylic to give an image of an old crumbling wall. Beauty of corrosion
I painted weathered steel with patches of old paint because of the beauty in the colors. I add texture to bring the painting to life giving the painting a rough effect. I have seen this corrosion on the hulls of large fishing boats that are in repair at Emu Point Albany WA.
