Artwork Description

There is something deeply beautiful and ancient about Australian eucalypt trees silhouetted at dusk and against the night sky. Their forests are dependent on fire as an essential part of the life cycle and regeneration. Ash is the personification of the devastation brought by fire, where her seeds and flowers can blossom in the new sunlight created in the aftermath.

Exhibited at Contrast, an exhibition by Thou Art Mum in black and white, The Vines Cafe, 11 Chute Street, Diamond Creek, 5 October - 30 November 2018.
