When I was little, I used to spend most of my afternoons after school at my grandma's house playing in her garden. She had all this trees, and bushes and potted plants, flowers, vegetables, everything you could imagine.

I had always liked plants and recently I started to add some to my little apartment to bring some light and happiness. They make me really happy to I decided to make a small series of paintings of my plants called "Cotidiano" which means "day to day life" in Spanish.

This painting was made over an old painting that I had made a few years back but I wasn't really pleased with the result, that why the canvas has so much texture. I use gesso to cover the old painting, acrylics to add the base colours and some pastels to add details.
