The Australian Brolga is the most common of our Cranes and is known for its mating dance. Male and female are similar in appearance and should not be confused with the Sarus Crane. I enjoyed painting these three birds in their water habitat and I tried to depict the different poses they present while performing their routing. I particularly enjoyed experimenting with water dripping from the middle bird adding additional movement and character of the work.
