I remember as a child in the early 50's first seeing this particular owl portrayed in Walt Disney films as the "Wise old owl". I've since discovered that this may have been wrong as they have a relatively small brain cavity and are in fact quite dumb . However nothing can detract from how amazingly expressive and relatable their faces are, with their knowing gaze.
