charcoal and white pastel on red paper. I only just started using brightly coloured backgrounds for my life drawing works. I'm very happy with the way they are turning out! Sakura was perhaps the best model I have ever had in a life drawing session. I think she is Japanese, but I'm not sure. Incredible poise and grace. A joy to draw. Such posture and elegance. Every pose she did I got very excited and went straight to work REAL fast so that I didn't miss it.
