This aerial perspective painting of a school of mullet swimming through water has been creatively expressed through acrylic paints on a canvas stretcher. The use of a contrasting palett of colours and painterly brush strokes enhances both the texture of the gravelly estuary bottom and the sense of fish just gliding and hovering in still water. Part of a series of fish paintings inspired by observing fish in a estuary from the elevation of a jetty.
