This is my impression of City Beach in Perth. It is my favourite beach for body surfing. I created this summer beach scene with the blue ocean, waves, body surfers, umbrellas and lifeguards to be a bright and happy summer painting. This painting would brighten a room or wall especially suited for beach lovers.

This painting is one in a series based on the Australian beach in the summertime.
I painted sunbathers, lifesavers, swimmers and surfers on the beach. I wanted to capture the bright colours and the contrast with the blue of the sea and sky and the white sand. It is a colourful, bright and happy Australian scene.
