This is an original Contemporary Landscape using aerial perspective which typifies my work over the last ten years.

The Gully Nocturne series of paintings celebrate the Australian landscape, using many transparent layers I build up scenes that evoke the mystery and power of this sunburnt land.

The Gully Nocturne series was inspired by travels into the outback and focuses on the plight of rivers that spend years dry. The lines and rhythms of the paintings are like the sound of the wind on the dry land as the afternoon sun drops below the horizon.
