Artwork Description
Many years ago a lot of ships came to grief in a place called The Oyster Bank in the mouth of the Hunter River, Newcastle. The vessels came from far and wide to load up with coal. About 200 ships met their end in this area. Sometimes sinking on top of a submerged wreck. The Adolphe is probably the most famous wreck, these remains are nearby.
