One of the most popular images in the collection is the one depicting a mother and daughter at the tram stop on Port Road. The shot would not exist if roadworks further up track had not been in progress, causing me to detour. It would not exist if the lights had not been red, meaning I wouldn't have stopped and had time to compose the shot. The shot would not exist if I had not packed my infra-red camera in the glove box at the last minute. And had the sun been slightly lower in the west, the much vaunted 'rim lighting' would have been missed. Photography is so often about luck and timing.
