About Jenny Pollak

WebsiteJenny Pollak is a full time practicing artist focusing her arts practice in photography, sculpture and video installation. She has taken part in numerous solo and group exhibitions as well as artist residencies, including a year long residency at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Sydney; a two year residency at the Electron Microscope Unit at Sydney University; and two six week residencies as the invited artist of BigCi, Bilpin, NSW, and Lynchpin, Hobart – a privately funded scholarship program at the University of Tasmania, Institute of Marine and Antarctic Studies. In 2009 she received an Australia Council New Work Grant to create several new bodies of work, and in 2011 she won the Facade Project (a National Public Art Award at the Visual Art Centre, La Trobe University, Bendigo) for her photographic work 'Threshold'. In 2012 her work 'A Brief History of Time' received the People's Choice award in the exhibition Lovelace at the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney. In 2017 she was a finalist in the Bowness Photography Prize (honourable mention).
