About Concettina Inserra
Currently residing in Melbourne, Australia. Since graduating from RMIT in 1996, Concettina has exhibited widely in various solo and group exhibitions at galleries around Melbourne. Her work explores notions of identity, including self-identity and place through portraiture and landscape photography. Concettina explores the artist’s identity, through performance and photography. Concettina has also collaborated with artist’s Nat Thomas and Lyndal Walker on performance and photographic projects. She has completed an MFA in photo-media at Monash University in 2012. In 2008, Concettina (with Nat Thomas) was awarded the William and Winifred Bowness Photography Prize at the Monash Gallery of Art, Melbourne - one of Australia's most prestigious annual photographic awards.Her photographs are included in public and private collections.
