DESCRIPTION

Infrared is a form of light... light that we cannot see with our eyes. Infrared light falls just outside the visible spectrum, beyond the edge of what we can see. In botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting branches and leaves in most species. Plants and trees reflect infrared light and are captured on a specially modified camera.

A selection of images that features the majesty and grandeur of trees illuminated by invisible light. This image is from Lake Ainsworth, a tea-tree stained lake which is very popular with locals and visitors. It's an exhilarating experience to swim in the fresh water just metres from the ocean.
