Ephemeral mandala of Belladonna Lilly, made and photographed in the natural Summer light.
Created in the Summer of 2016 as an ode to a flower close to my heart, and to many others who live around my home town in the Barossa region, who have grown up enjoying the annual flood of Belladonna's that wash over the roadsides. This was a particularly grand year with soaking Summer rains sustaining an extra long and strong blooming season. The little pink blooms looked like soft music notes floating above the ground, under the shade of the 2000 odd date palm trees that line the roadsides in our home village of Seppeltsfield, South Australia.
