Daydreams with Nature is a portrait of my childhood dream that came true, eventually. Like many kids, I never had a tree house, so I was thrilled when we bought this property with its little bonus nestled among trees in the tropical garden. Over the ten years here our grandchildren, nieces and nephews have all enjoyed the mystery, adventure and daydreams that the tree house ignites.

The artwork was created in my studio from my own sketches and photographs taken at sunrise. I felt the back-lighting added to the mystery of the scene more so than daytime photos I had taken previously.

This is painted on Belgian linen stretched over a professional stretcher bar. The sides are painted a blue-toned-black. It can be hung with the D-rings or the wire already attached.
