The image 'Cathedral Dreaming' is part of a small series of photography based works that tell the story of some of Perth's most well known heritage buildings. I was inspired during the redevelopment of the Cathedral Precinct of Perth City in 2012 when many of the old buildings including the Old Treasury Building, were shrouded in scaffolding and plywood. The hidden quality of the buildings fascinated me and set my imagination to work. I was captivated by the idea that these buildings were evolving and changing over time. By using a process of image layering and physical treatments I worked to capture a transient state.
