DESCRIPTION

Wulyibidi was photographed from above at Peron’s peninsula in Shark Bay. Wulyibidi (Peron Peninsula) is the traditional land of the Malgana people who have lived the area for more than 25,000 years. At that time, the area was an arid valley with little fresh water. The peninsula is interspersed with gypsum claypans also called “ birridas” – landlocked saline lakes. The millennial land as seen from the air reveals delicately balanced patterns and texture
