DESCRIPTION

In this series, I reflect on the life of my father, who grew up during the second world war in Austria.
The colours I have chosen in this abstract were derived from seeing the Swiss alps at twilight.

Switzerland borders Austria. In this image, I explore the idea of two similar cultures taking two very different paths during the second world war. Austria joins it's ally and is utterly destroyed, while Switzerland remains Neutral and comes out of the war relatively unscathed.

I have used crafting clay to create the round shape and colour effects to create the varying colours.

Specifications: Artwork is made using only top quality archival inks. Printed on european-made top quality pure cotton paper‚ and primed with a surface protection coating. The final image has a matte finish which accentuates the rich colours. Photo does no justice to the artwork‚ very impressive in person.

The final work is signed and also comes with the certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
