'Shifting Sands' was created using fluid acrylic paints and inks and pouring medium. It is a warm and dramatic painting full of movement. The warm pinks, neutrals and terracotta blend organically while shocks of deep umber, grey and metallic gold contrast. The gold is highly reflective and gleams when it catches the light. I have added a couple of photographs showing the gold in different lighting conditions.
