Artwork Description

Oil on stretched canvas, ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

This painting is another commentary on climate change. The book titled ‘The Salt of the Earth’ is a symbol for the actual geo elements of earth but also represents the folk that care for the well-being of the planet. It symbolises wisdom. The figure holds an arm out to say ‘halt’. As your eye follows the composition you are met with a variety of creatures and mountains and rivers. Above the figure rests a feather ( one part of the symbol of the United Nations) the other part (feather) falls beneath the hand. A symbol of the divide when it comes to matters concerning the environment.
