Standing in the shallows of Yellow Waters Billabong, Kakadu, the graceful Jabiru wades through the lilies.
Also known as the Black-necked Stork, their black feathers are actually a beautiful iridescent shimmering purple and green.
They build huge platforms up to 1.8meters across to nest in - itโs an amazing sight to spot them high in a tree in their nest!
Jabiru Jill is one of my earlier pieces that was proudly accepted by the pre-selection panel for the Martin Hanson Memorial Art Awards and was on Exhibit in the Gladstone Regional Art Gallery.
This piece comes ready to hang with the edges painted to match the painting.
