Ink and Watercolour on Arches 300gsm Watercolour Paper

Description

The gorgeous Bee-eater has many nicknames. One name that seems quite appropriate to me is the Golden Swallow. Watching these beauties hunt on the wing, dipping and diving as they snatch up bugs from the air, it's easy to see why people think of them as swallows.

Living in the Northern Territory we'd see large noisy flocks of Rainbow Bee-eaters all lined up along the power lines at dusk. Sitting and watching them as the sun sunk to the horizon is a particularly fond memory of my time in Darwin.

All of my original watercolour paintings are created using the highest quality, professional materials including the finest Arches 300gsm Paper, and “Artists Grade” watercolour paints.

“Rainbow Bee-eater“ is A4 in size (8.3" x 11.7" or 21cm x 29.7cms) with a hand taped white border of approximately 1cm. You may notice that the borders are not always perfectly straight which is part of the artworks handmade charm!

Please note that the artworks are not framed - the photographs of the artworks framed above is for example only.

Your purchase will come packaged with great care in a protective sleeve with a backing board and stiff mailing envelope to protect it during transit.
