Sunrise Brolgas was inspired by the amazing dance that these majestic birds perform as part of their courtship. Though Brolgas partner for life they are known to perform this ritual regularly to strengthen their pair bonds.
It’s a stunning display that includes leaping, wing flapping and trumpeting. Both males and females dance and sometimes Brolgas will even perform in groups - an incredible sight to see!

This piece is a mixed media painting with textures in the grass and sky created with papers and stencils including my hand made design that represents the Waratah flower. The colours are vibrant with high quality materials used throughout this piece, and sealed to protect it's longevity.

The painting is continued around the sides to complete the look and is ready to hang with a wire hanger in place.
