Similarly to some of my other work, this artwork is a reflection of my interest in pattern and positive and negative space. A background layer has been built up with the use of a catalyst wedge followed by stencil work with spray paint. Finally, a white pattern inspired by peacock feathers has been applied. The use of pastel pinks and blues has been juxtaposed with navy, yellow oxide and bright pink in the background to create a sense of slight contrast and harmony. The final application of white results in an aesthetically pleasing design catching the eye of the viewer and drawing them into the details.
