This artwork has been built up with many layers of pattern to establish depth and surface texture. The initial layers were produced using a catalyst wedge followed by more structured shape applied with various paint brushes. The result is a large scale floral artwork boasting in aesthetic appeal and reflecting strong contrast in the use of positive and negative space. As with most of my work, this painting is a reflection of my interest in the simple patterns and shapes found in nature.
