Silhouette work using permanent pens and markers on paper. Six friends meet in a park for cheese and wine... and the forbidden (bread). Under the canopy of the tree, they work up an appetite with a healthy cartwheel and handstand competition... laughs, chatter and drinks hot on their tail. Every blade of grass, leaf, and flick of hair is drawn freehand on paper to create this piece. Fine liners to the thickest markers were used (5 sizes in total).

My At Play series of works is a collection of playful silhouette works of people under the canopy of trees. Every leaf, blade of grass and flick of hair, tree, flower and figure is hand drawn in five different sizes of Artline pens.
The At Play Series works available on Bluethumb have been in my personal collection since 2014 when they were drawn. The time has come to set them free from my portfolio into the world to find their forever homes.
I never could decide if "Handstands and Cartwheels" was a couple of girlfriends repeated over again in different stances, or a group of girlfriends... will let you decide.
