Born in Melbourne, I studied Art Appreciation at Stratherne Girls School in Hawthorn Victoria and Fine Art at Frankston TAFE. I have been fortunate to study art with renowned artists such as Freya Dade, Gunther Kalbitzer at The McClelland Gallery, Anthony Prout OBE< David Taylor and Peter Barraclough in Tasmania.
After moving from Melbourne to Tasmania in 1993, my work has been exhibited in many Galleries and Art Shows such as The Rotary Art Show, The City Mission Exhibition, Manyung Gallery in Sorrento Victoria and The Strickland Gallery, Wild Island Gallery and The Tassie Makers Market in Tasmania.
From only using Watercolours for many years, I now have moved on to painting with Acrylic and occasionally Oil paints. My main subject for painting is fish in all situations recently using an underwater theme which I am really loving.
I have this passion for the sea with all it's moods and colours of which I am still working on trying to capture the atmosphere . I am fascinated with the ever changing light and reflections that play on the surface of the water and how the colours of the skies influence this light.
