Acrylic on wood, ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
This painting is the result of experimenting with mediums and tools such as scrapers, rollers, and sandpaper, looking to create new marks and textures, and build an arresting surface and plateau of shape and line. In places, you can see where I have scraped back to the basswood support, and this adds an energy and vitality to the work that could not be painted; it is a painting that pushed me to new places.
