Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the back.
This painting depicts a close up of the water gently lapping under a pier at Rottnest Island, just out from Fremantle, Western Australia. I was captured and inspired to paint this beautiful contrast of texture and light; it gives the impression of a surreal surf beach but is actually only - at it's the highest point - a few centimetres. It's like a mini-surf break trying to be a bigger one! I have painted my initials on the front, but I sign my work on the back these days.
