Artwork Description

This painting was inspired by the indigenous Australian legend about a young girl who danced so often that she turned into a Brolga. The Brolga is the Queensland Australia bird emblem and is also a sacred totem for many indigenous Australians, meaning that it hasn't been hunted or eaten for thousands of years.
