Acrylic on wood, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This is Kakadu. An area of quiet beauty but with this underlying feeling of being on the edge of threat. The landscape is full of strange and very ancient spectacles. Always with this feeling of beauty hiding disaster. At least I find this in the outback. Always on alert. Just what is watching from under that lily? Seriously; you can swim in a lake with a sign warning of fresh water crocodiles.
Painted in more of an impressionist style, keeping the brush strokes very obvious to catch the freshness of this peaceful wetland.
There is a bracing frame to the rear.
