Jim Josephsen paints regularly from his own studio - Punch St Gallery Artarmon and attends workshops with the National Arts School. He has travelled often to his favourite country (other than Australia) Italy, to do art tours and workshops there.
Jim has painted all his life, but it has only been in the last 15 years that he has dedicated real time to his career as an artist.
He specializes in landscapes, both Australian and Italian (where he has travelled and studied extensively).
His medium is acrylic - colourful, impressionistic and textured. He works both large and small scale and is a skilled printmaker.
"I like to capture the mood of the landscape, or describe the personality of a building as I perceive it. I get involved with the colour and texture of the things I see."
