I collage a transformative female form to imagine new ways to express how the body feels, its sensations and movements. My sassy heroine is made from representations magazine cut outs and photos. She is the juxtaposition of the practical and the elegant, the joy of being at one with nature and in the moment. Like the mighty river, the heroine’s many aspects are constantly being created and recreated. I make these works by combining handmade oil pastel hand drawings, with collage and then I photograph some of the lush riverscape scenes of my local area- The Mighty Clarence River in Northern NSW. The work is then printed on archival Kodak Metallic Photographic Paper and professionally mounted on aluminium bond support with 2 metallic strips on the back. The top strip is for mounting onto the wall, and the bottom bar keeps the artwork out from the wall so that it sits flat. The top bracket is easy to install, it can sit on hooks or be drilled into the wall, and the support is very light weight.
