Paddling upstream, I via off down a hidden tributary. There is a beautiful kingfisher- a brillant azure blue with orange yellow chest- which flies just ahead and out of reach, like a forgotten memory. As in fairy tales of old, I am on a quest to find something special. Here it is, a deep gratitude for this majestic Clarence River where I live. The power and beauty of this river is a constant reminder of our part in the ecosystem.
This is not a reproduction of a painting, it is an original Mixed Media artwork that I made by hand drawing with oil pastel, cutting out collage and combined with my photo and crafting each element to sit well as a composition. It is then professionally printed on archival gloss paper and professionally mounted onto aluminum with batons for simple install and flat slick look, on the wall. It is an edition of 3.
