Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Based on The Myth of Sisyphus my painting is an allegorical depiction of a life spent engaged in mindless and pointless work that absurdly becomes a necessity in order to survive.
Stylistically I have based the look of this piece on woodcuts, applying all the detail on a thickly impasto-ed black background to achieve a rich silky surface.
