A new addition to my Dream Machines series: edgy, playful and seductive, and one of my favourite subjects ... vintage cars!

A tribute to the Mercedes Roadster - the convertible classic which, long ago, triggered my love of beautiful old cars. And, of course, I couldn't resist a nod to Yves Saint Laurent's iconic Mondrian dress, the perfect compliment to Imogen's striking pink locks.

The medium is oil on canvas, applied loosely and generously, to bring out the wonderful paintwork and chrome.

This is a stretched canvas, fitted with picture wire and ready to hang.
