OC54 is a textural artwork using handmade paper and mixed media inspired by my artist residency in Curtin Springs paper NT. Movement within the tidal ephemeral Swansons salt lake is incredible. On the sunset & moonrise moisture is drawn to the surface which allows the heal of a boot to easily break through the crust revealing the treasures beneath. I am fascinated by the harshness of the lands and what survives and thrives within it.

Majestic Australian Scribble bark, a native eucalyptus tree, using acrylic inks and fine line work to create a contrast between the dark and rough bark and the bright and dark leaves.
