For this extra large painting I have been continuing my exploration of layering techniques with watercolour and gouache paint. Using calligraphy brushes and various paint consistencies, I mix the colours directly onto the painting to achieve a painting that is fluid and spontaneous.

My signature stylised pair of Black Cockatoos are perched on the branches of a Red Peppercorn Tree over the water. My work is heavily influenced by oriental woodblock printing and this is apparent in this work, However this painting is unmistakably Australian in Character and would made an excellent statement piece on the wall of your Australian home or business.
