I'm lucky to have a council street tree directly outside my house that is this amazing weeping bottlebrush tree. It has an abundance of fluffy flowers that I help myself to and pop into vases around my home. This gouache painting indulges my love of colour and mid century pottery. I particularly enjoyed working on the very fine red bottle brush strokes and I just have a thing about red and turquoise together – they make a sublime colour combo. This work is professionally framed in a simple white box frame with archival mount and glass.
