Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
Often I like using a limited colour palette to allow the composition of the work to be the hero. This lush work in shades of green features a green cockatoo (I know, I know, just humour me as I indulge my artist's licence - ornithologists and bird experts look away please) and the amazing tropical plants growing wild and free in the front gardens of my neighbourhood, I wanted to create a work that encapsulates the hot and humid Australian summer. If I could add sound effects to this painting it would be the deafening Cicadas and screeching Lorikeets.
