Watercolour on paper
Signed on the front.
This cheeky Cockatoo started life many drawings ago as a Major Mitchell's Cockatoo. He has since evolved into a somewhat stylised character of his former self. I love Cockatoos, especially when they come screeching through the neighbourhood at dusk, tearing the place apart with zero fxxcks given to anyone/thing.
Pictorial flatness is a theme that runs through my work. This painting has a flat almost screen print/poster vibe about it with sharp edges and bold colour.
I sell my work unframed because it's a personal thing -choosing a frame, and it's easier and safer to ship paper than glass. However if you'd like the work framed, please get in touch.
