About the artwork:
This painting features a Lyrebird nestled amongst some stylised botanicals inspired by the sketches I make on my bush walks. I love to paint our unique Australian flora and fauna in gouache and watercolour on beautiful thick textured papers. I use calligraphy brushes varying the paint consistency from watery washes to opaque line work - my intention is to create flow and movement within the work.
