Willow's Wild Cousin is the rock n' roll relative of the English Willow who is a little more reserved and snooty. The Aussie version has crashed the tea party, smashed all the fine china and features gum trees in place of oriental willow, paint drips and a Cocky in place of the doves. Personally I'd rather have a cuppa with the Aussie version these days.

This statement painting featuring a cheeky cockatoo in navy blue and neutral tones is a good example of my recent work, which explores the visual language of line and pattern within the Australian landscape. My work is very much influenced by oriental aesthetics, and you can really see the connection creeping back into this piece. This work is highly decorative and features many hours of intricate line work (a signature of my work) which can be seen in the close up detailed shots.
