It's quite clear from looking at my folio that I have a fascination with birds, I am drawn to their quirky personalities and inquisitive nature.
This is the second painting of the same bird, each painting is more simplistic than the last; a challenge to capture the birds personality in its rawest form. This exercise was conscious attempt to withdraw from my need for perfection in my practice, steering away from detail in order to embrace simplicity and celebrate the elements of line and colour.
