This artwork is a depiction of Red Head beach in Newcastle at sunset. Having moved from the area in the last year i find myself increasingly reminiscing about the landscapes and feel of the environment i used to know so well. Watching the ships coming in whilst sitting on the dunes or on beach walks were a favourite thing to do. The seemingly slow movement of the tankers so far out at sea was very calming to watch. The deep red sandstone used to catch the light so well in the afternoon, it's a beautiful spot.
