Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

Ive been pushing myself lately to paint as often as I can. That comes with its own set of hurdles though, finding consistent inspiration and ideas is one of them This painting was started without a real idea of what it was that i was painting beyond the general statement of "i want a face and i want a plant in it". As it continued to grow a few comments were made that it looked like my thinking face. I didn't intend to but I think I ended up painting myself contemplating art, a bit of a silly concept of painting a picture of contemplating painting a picture. But its not untrue, I was stuck for ideas and spent some time just sitting and thinking pushing myself to just paint something, anything to get the process going...and this is what occurred. Its kind of like a painting of what happens between painting paintings.

This might have been a one off moment where I lacked inspiration and found it as I went along or maybe it'll happen again, if it does then maybe I'll paint it.
