Australia’s stunning and unique wildflower the Rose of the West (Eucalyptus macrocarpa) is the most spectacular of the flowering gums. The Rose of the West is located in the wheatbelt and sand plains in the South-western parts of Australia. The under rated conical bud is hiding beneath the surface many rich crimson stamens with delicate golden anthers. It takes time for the hidden beauty of the flower to emerge but when it does it's well worth the wait. The vibrant stamens explode from the bud like an impressive fireworks show. A celebration of natural beauty that delights us all.
The Red-winged Fairy-wren is a beautiful charming song bird endemic to the southwestern parts of Western Australia. The Red-winged Fairy-wren lives in wet areas with dense vegetation. This little bird is a symbol of strength, like all Australians we can survive and adapt.
I initially created this painting for my love and appreciation of Australia’s beautiful native wildflowers and wildlife but considering the current epidemic circumstances it became much, much more than that.
A symbol of Beauty...
A symbol of Strength...
A symbol we can Adapt...
As a nation together caring for each other.
I have named this painting A Rose With No Petals.
